Artist. Educator. Storyteller.

I am a Guyanese-American medical educator and founder of JOHAKI Arts, a creative platform born from my own journey through domestic violence and trauma. By profession, I train the next generation of healthcare clinicians. By calling, I am a storyteller — through storytelling and creative expression, I share my story so that other women have the freedom of choice to recognize their own truth and decide, for themselves, to reclaim their voice, their mind, and their power. My work lives at the intersection of both worlds — understanding trauma not just as something that happens to the body, but as something that reshapes the mind, and learning to heal both.
